Education & Training

While being a background extra doesn’t require any training, as Seattle professionals in the entertainment industry, we’d like to share some insights on the importance of training for actors. Like any industry, the purpose of training in acting is to learn new skills, challenge yourself, and maintain optimal readiness.

For actors, it’s crucial to ensure that you have an adequate education and training budget throughout your career. This means investing in workshops, private lessons, and classes to continually improve your craft. By consistently seeking out opportunities to learn and grow, you can stay at the top of your game.

At Anchor Background Talent, we believe in the importance of ongoing training for the actors we represent. While we don’t offer in-house training or workshops, we have compiled a list of excellent coaches in the region along with links to current workshops. We highly recommend working privately with a coach and taking advantage of as many workshops as possible. Each coach offers a unique perspective, so it’s essential to find one you trust and can learn from.

Remember, if you’re always working on your craft, you’ll always be ready for the next opportunity that comes your way. Invest in yourself and your career by prioritizing ongoing training and education.
